Honey Peach White Cheddar Grilled Cheese
Ingredients:—-
– 8 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, ciabatta, or whole wheat work well)
– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
– 2-3 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
– 8 oz white cheddar cheese, thinly sliced or shredded
– Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:—–
1. Prepare the Bread:
– Lay out the slices of bread on a clean surface.
– Spread one side of each slice with the softened butter.
2. Assemble the Sandwiches:
– On the unbuttered side of half of the bread slices, layer the thinly sliced peaches.
– Drizzle the honey over the peach slices.
– Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves (if using), salt, and pepper.
– Layer the white cheddar cheese over the peaches.
– Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up, to form sandwiches.
3. Cook the Sandwiches:
– Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
– Place the assembled sandwiches in the skillet, buttered side down.
– Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
– Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the other side is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
4. Serve:
– Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before cutting in half.
– Serve warm and enjoy!
