Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup diced cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Thaw the frozen peas and drain any excess water.
    • Finely chop the red onion, dice the cheddar cheese and cooked bacon, and chop the celery.
  2. Make the Dressing:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Mix the Salad:
    • In a large bowl, combine the peas, red onion, cheddar cheese, bacon, and celery.
    • Pour the dressing over the pea mixture and stir gently until everything is well coated.
  4. Chill the Salad:
    • Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve:
    • Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed before serving.
