Butterfinger Balls 😍 Sweet, crunchy and full of Butterfinger goodness
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 8 fun-size bars)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 12 oz chocolate (semi-sweet or milk chocolate), melted
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (optional, for thinning the chocolate)
Directions:
- Prepare the Butterfinger Mixture:
In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until well combined. Stir in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars. - Shape the Balls:
Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your hands to form a ball. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Continue until all the mixture is used up. - Chill the Balls:
Place the Butterfinger balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up. - Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, you can add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil to thin it out. - Dip the Balls:
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted chocolate, covering it completely. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the ball back onto the parchment paper. - Set the Chocolate:
Let the chocolate-covered Butterfinger balls set at room temperature, or place them back in the refrigerator to harden faster. - Serve:
Once the chocolate is set, the Butterfinger balls are ready to enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
The Secret of the Recipe 🤫
Chilling the Butterfinger balls before dipping them in chocolate helps them hold their shape and ensures a smooth chocolate coating!
