Korean BBQ Chicken Wings with Kimchi Slaw
A delicious and spicy fusion dish!
Ingredients:
For the Wings:
2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and cut in half
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
For the Kimchi Slaw:
1/2 head green cabbage, shredded
1/4 head red cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup kimchi, chopped
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Wings:
Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, combine chicken wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, ginger, black pepper, soy sauce, honey, and gochujang. Toss to coat.
Grill or Bake:
Grill: Grill wings over medium-high heat for 20-25 minutes, flipping occasionally.
Bake: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Place wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Make the Kimchi Slaw:
Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, kimchi, mayonnaise, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.
Serve:
Serve the chicken wings with the kimchi slaw.
Tips:
For extra crispy wings, air fry them for 15-20 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang and red pepper flakes.
Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as French fries, coleslaw, or potato salad.
