Cranberry-Pecan Baked Brie in Pastry
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 wheel of Brie cheese
– 1 sheet of puff pastry
– 1/2 cup cranberry-pepper jelly
– 1/4 cup chopped pecans
– 1 egg (for egg wash)
– Salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it’s large enough to wrap around the Brie cheese.
3. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry.
4. Spread the cranberry-pepper jelly generously over the top of the Brie, then sprinkle the chopped pecans on top.
5. Fold the pastry carefully around the cheese, sealing the edges to encase it completely.
6. Transfer the wrapped Brie to a baking sheet and brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
8. Allow it to cool slightly before serving. This dish pairs beautifully with crackers or fresh fruit! Enjoy!
