✅️ Steamed Cassava Cake | 3 Ingredients Only👌
Ingredients:
• 4 cups grated cassava
• 2 ¾ cups coconut milk
• 1 ½ cups sugar
[¾ cup sugar to caramelize]
Methods:
Peel the cassava, cut into pieces and wash well.
Grate or scrape the cassava until it becomes fine.
Squeeze well to remove some juices.
Let it sit the juice for 20 minutes.
20 minutes later….separate the juice & discard.
Put the starch from the juice in the squeezed cassava. Add the sugar and coconut milk.
Mix until well blended and set aside.
Heat the pan on medium heat.
Add the sugar, cook until caramelized and amber in color over low heat. Transfer quickly to baking pan or llanera. When it cools down, add the cassava mixture. Flatten to spread evenly.
Cover with aluminum foil.
Prepare the steamer with water. Place the baking pan on the steamer plate. Cover and steam for 50-55 minutes [baking pan] and 25 minutes for [small llanera]. Set on medium heat.
Let it cool. Turn over and slice as desired.
Top with cheese (optional)❌️
