Garlic Butter Surf and Turf

Garlic Butter Surf and Turf 🥩🦐✨
Ingredients:
For the Steak:

4 filet mignon or sirloin steaks (1-inch thick)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Shrimp:

12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Juice of 1/2 lemon
For the Sauce:

1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions:
Cook the Steak:

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear each side for 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness.
Add 2 tbsp butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Baste the steaks with the melted butter for 1-2 minutes. Remove the steaks and let them rest.
Cook the Shrimp:

In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add garlic, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, and shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until shrimp turn pink. Add lemon juice and toss. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce:

Deglaze the skillet with broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom. Add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Combine and Serve:

Return the steaks and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Heat everything together for 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Enjoy this decadent surf-and-turf meal that combines tender steak with succulent shrimp in a creamy garlic butter sauce! 🥂✨
