Cheesy Penne with Garlic Butter Ground Beef

Cheesy Penne with Garlic Butter Ground Beef

Ingredients:

12 oz penne pasta

1 lb ground beef

3 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup beef broth

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions:

Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.
Add the minced garlic and chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until fragrant and the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
Stir in the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using).
Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it in the creamy sauce.
Stir in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce becomes smooth.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
