
The Ultimate Party Snack or Easy Appetizer!
Flaky, cheesy, golden, and loaded with flavor — these puff pastry twists are a total crowd-pleaser and take just 20–25 minutes to make!
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mixed)
- ¼ cup cream cheese (optional for extra richness)
- ¼ cup cooked bacon, chopped (or turkey/ham slices)
- 1 small tomato, diced and drained
- 2 tablespoons green onions or parsley, chopped
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Sesame seeds, sea salt, or Italian herbs (for topping – optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6–8 rectangles.
- In a small bowl, mix:
- Cheese
- Cream cheese (if using)
- Bacon
- Tomato
- Green onion
- Place a line of filling down the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold or twist each one gently:
- For twists: just fold lengthwise and twist like in the photo.
- For braids: slice both sides and fold strips over the filling alternately.
- Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds or herbs if you like.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
