Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup salsa
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
- Lime wedges (optional)
Directions:
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables soften.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken and become flavorful.
- While the beef mixture is simmering, warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Once the beef mixture is ready, spoon a generous portion onto the center of each tortilla.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef mixture and top with sour cream and salsa.
- Optionally, garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice for added flavor.
- Roll up the tortillas, folding in the sides as you go to secure the filling inside.
- Serve the tortilla wraps warm with extra salsa or sour cream on the side.
