Italian Drunken Noodles

A delightful blend of Italian and Thai flavors, this dish is a creative twist on traditional Drunken Noodles. Instead of rice noodles and Thai basil, it features egg noodles, Italian sausage, and classic Italian herbs. The combination of juicy tomatoes, aromatic garlic, and a splash of white wine makes it a comforting and savory meal. It’s easy to customize by swapping the sausage for chicken or ground beef.

1 pound Ground Italian Sausage

16 ounces Egg Noodles, cooked al dente

2 medium Green Peppers, diced

28 ounces Diced Tomatoes with juice

3 teaspoons Garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

1 teaspoon Dried Basil

½ cup White Cooking Wine

Parmesan Cheese, grated

Fresh Parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, then cook the sausage and green peppers until the sausage is fully browned.

2. Lower the heat, add Italian seasoning and garlic, and cook for another 30 seconds.

3. Pour in the white cooking wine, letting it simmer until it reduces by half.

4. Add the diced tomatoes with their juices and stir well.

5. Sprinkle in dried basil, salt, and pepper, mixing everything together.

6. Fold in the cooked egg noodles, ensuring everything is well combined.

7. Let the dish simmer for a few more minutes until fully heated.

8. Finish by topping with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan before serving.
