Crispy Chicken Tenders Recipe

Ingredients

For the Chicken:
• 1 ½ lbs (700g) chicken tenders or chicken breasts cut into strips
• 1 cup buttermilk (or regular milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• Salt & pepper to taste

For the Breading:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 ½ cups breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch)
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
• Salt & pepper

For Frying:
• Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, mix chicken with buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  2. Prepare the Breading Station:
    • Set up 3 shallow bowls:
    1. Flour
    2. Beaten eggs (2–3 eggs)
    3. Breadcrumbs mixed with paprika, cayenne, salt & pepper
