Fantastic Ferrero Rocher Cake: Decadent and Easy to Make

A luxurious, creamy cake that combines the nutty, chocolatey goodness of Ferrero Rocher with the lightness of a Viennese sponge cake. This simple recipe requires just one cake base and a liter of cream—perfect for special occasions or when you want to impress!

Ingredients

  • 1 cake base: A light, high Viennese sponge cake, preferably pre-sliced into 3 layers.
  • 5 cups of cream (1L): Whipping cream for a rich and fluffy texture.
  • 2 packs of Ferrero Rocher candies: (16-20 pieces; keep 6 aside for decoration).

Preparation

1. Prepare the Ferrero Rocher Cream

  1. Set aside 6 Ferrero Rocher for decoration later.
  2. Chop the remaining candies: Place the rest of the Ferrero Rocher in a bowl and chop them into small pieces.
  3. Whip the cream: Using 3 cups of the cream, whip it until stiff peaks form.
  4. Combine cream and candies: Gently fold the chopped Ferrero Rocher into the whipped cream to create a nutty, chocolatey filling.

2. Assemble the Cake

  1. Layer the cake:
  • Spread 1/3 of the Ferrero Rocher cream mixture over the first cake base layer.
  • Place the second cake base on top and repeat the process with another 1/3 of the cream.
  • Add the final layer of cake and spread the remaining Ferrero Rocher cream evenly on top.
  1. Prepare the edges:
  • Whip the remaining 2 cups of cream until stiff.
  • Use some of the whipped cream to frost the edges of the cake, leaving a little for decoration.

3. Decorate the Cake

  1. Halve the reserved Ferrero Rocher candies: You’ll have 12 halves, perfect for decorating each slice.
  2. Place candy halves: Arrange them along the edge of the cake to visually divide it into 12 slices.
  3. Add cream decorations: Use a piping bag or spoon to add decorative dollops of cream on top or between the candy halves.

4. Chill and Serve

  1. Refrigerate the cake for at least 2-3 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the cream to set.
  2. Serve chilled: Slice along the Ferrero Rocher candy decorations for perfectly portioned pieces.

Extra Tips

  • For added flavor: Brush the cake layers with a little hazelnut liqueur or chocolate syrup before adding the cream.
  • Chocolate drizzle: Drizzle melted chocolate over the top of the cake for extra decadence.
  • Nutty crunch: Sprinkle chopped hazelnuts around the sides or on top of the cake.
  • Alternative candy: If Ferrero Rocher is unavailable, use another hazelnut chocolate candy for a similar effect.
