Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Ingredients:

– 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

– 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix

– 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

– 1 cup chicken broth

– 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

– 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and dried thyme. Mix well.

3. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables until evenly distributed.

4. In a separate bowl, prepare the stuffing mix according to package instructions.

5. Spread the chicken mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

6. Layer the prepared stuffing mix on top of the chicken mixture.

7. If using, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the stuffing.

8. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and heated through.
