Ingredients:
• 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or sausage)
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 jar (24 oz / 680g) marinara or pasta sauce
• 2 ½ cups water or beef broth
• 8 oz (225g) uncooked spaghetti (broken in half if needed)
• 1 tsp Italian seasoning
• ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
• 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
• Chopped parsley or dried herbs for garnish

⸻
Instructions:
1. Brown the meat:
In a large skillet or deep pan over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Sauté aromatics:
Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
3. Add sauce and liquid:
Pour in the marinara sauce and water (or broth). Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4. Add spaghetti:
Add the uncooked spaghetti to the skillet, pushing it down into the liquid. Stir slightly to prevent sticking.
5. Simmer covered:
Cover and simmer on medium-low heat for about 15–18 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spaghetti is tender and the sauce has thickened.
6. Finish & serve:
Uncover, stir well, and let simmer another 2–3 minutes to thicken. Top with Parmesan and parsley if desired.
