Salisbury Steak with Mashed Potatoes π½οΈ
Ingredients:
For the Salisbury Steak:
1 pound ground beef π₯©
1/3 cup bread crumbs π
1/4 cup finely chopped onion π§
1 egg π₯
2 tablespoons ketchup π
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce π₯
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder π§
Salt and pepper to taste π§
1 tablespoon olive oil π«
1 cup beef broth π²
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water πΎπ§
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional) π
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered π₯
1/2 cup milk π₯
1/4 cup butter π§
Salt and pepper to taste π§
Directions:
For the Salisbury Steak:
Prepare the Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated. π₯
Shape Patties: Form the mixture into 4 oval patties. π
Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside. π₯
