Crispy Chicken Fingers
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Tenders:
• 1 kg Chicken breast, sliced into strips
• ¼ cup Milk
• 2 tbsp Cornstarch
• 2 tbsp Flour
• 1 tsp Salt
• ½ tsp Ground black pepper
• 1 tsp Paprika
• 1-2 tsp Garlic powder
• ½ Chicken broth cube, crushed
• 1 Egg
• 3-4 cups Panko breadcrumbs
• 1 tsp Dried parsley
• ½ tsp Salt
For the Tartar Sauce:
• 1 cup Mayonnaise
• 2 tbsp Lemon juice
• 1 tsp Sugar
• 1 tsp Parsley
• 2 tbsp Pickle relish
• Pinch of Salt
• Ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the milk, cornstarch, flour, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and crushed chicken broth cube.
2. Add the egg to the mixture and whisk to combine.
3. Place the panko breadcrumbs, dried parsley, and salt in another shallow bowl.
4. Dip each chicken strip into the milk mixture, then coat with the panko breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to ensure the breadcrumbs stick.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken strips in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
6. For the tartar sauce, mix the mayonnaise, lemon juice, sugar, parsley, pickle relish, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
7. Serve the crispy chicken fingers with the homemade tartar sauce on the side.
