Banana Jelly Candy
Ingredients
- 3 ripe Bananas
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 10 g gelatin powder (or 6 gelatin sheets)
- 50 ml water
- Extra sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the bananas
Mash the bananas until smooth (like a puree). - Cook the mixture
In a pan, add banana puree + sugar + lemon juice.
Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly for about 5–10 minutes. - Add gelatin
- If using powder: dissolve it in water first.
- If using sheets: soak in cold water, then squeeze.
Add it to the banana mixture and mix well.
- Set the candy
Pour into a square mold or tray lined with parchment paper.
Let it cool, then refrigerate for 2–3 hours until firm. - Cut and coat
Cut into small squares and roll them in sugar to get that crystal look.

- Use very ripe bananas for stronger flavor.
- Let the candy dry at room temperature for a few hours before coating (better texture).
- You can mix banana with other fruits like strawberry or mango for variation.
