Homemade Ginger Tea

🍵 Homemade Ginger Tea (From Scratch)

A warm, soothing drink made with fresh ingredients. This tea is perfect for relaxing, boosting immunity, and helping digestion.

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 fresh lemon (sliced or juiced) 🍋
  • 1 inch fresh ginger root (peeled and sliced or grated)
  • 1 tablespoon honey 🍯

🔪 Preparation:

  1. Prepare the ginger
    • Wash the ginger root well
    • Peel it using a spoon or knife
    • Slice thinly or grate it (grating gives stronger flavor)
  2. Prepare the lemon
    • Wash thoroughly
    • Slice into thin rounds or squeeze the juice (remove seeds)

🔥 Cooking Method:

  1. Boil the water
    • Pour 2 cups of water into a small pot
    • Bring it to a gentle boil
  2. Add the ginger
    • Add the sliced or grated ginger to the boiling water
    • Reduce heat and let it simmer for 10–15 minutes
    • The longer it simmers, the stronger and spicier the tea becomes
  3. Add lemon
    • Turn off the heat
    • Add lemon slices or juice
    • Let it steep for 2–3 minutes
  4. Strain the tea
    • Pour through a strainer into a cup
    • This removes ginger pieces and lemon pulp
  5. Sweeten
    • Add 1 tablespoon of honey
    • Stir well until fully dissolved

☕ How to Serve:

  • Drink warm for best results
  • You can also chill it and serve cold in summer
  • Garnish with a lemon slice for a nice look
